i usually dont do any journal stuff, unless im hyped about something, this time its a movie that's about to come out, its called the road, based on a book by cormac mccarthy, you know the guy that wrote no country for old men, wich was, by the way, the movie that introduced to this guy, first i read blood meridian, wich i really really liked (wich will be allegedly adapted to film also [though i dont think there's anyone who could play the judge]), and then i read the road wich i also really liked, wich it's adaptation is the point of the journal
so the road will be released soon, and not only that john hillcoat is the director, hillcoat directed The Proposition, wich is like in my top 5 movies. interestingly the proposition actually really feels like blood merdian, and i couldnt help comparing the judge from the book to arthur burns from the film, so interesting choice of director for the road.
also, viggo mortensen is playing the Man, who's becoming like my favorite actor after seeing cronenberg's a history of violence and eastern promises, and also playing the best portrayal of lucifer i've seen on film, in the 90s film The prophecy, even if the film was cheesy and he was on screen only for a few minutes.
anyway, im really looking forward to this film,
that's it
